OPENING OF MOTORSPORT SEASON IN LIEPĀJA ALREADY ON 28TH MARCH MOTORCYCLING COMPLEX “MOTOPARKS LAUMA”
Less than month to Cross Country season opening in Liepāja. On 28th March in Latvia, in Liepāja motorcycling complex “Motoparks Lauma” will be the first stage of Baltic Cup and the first stage of Latvian Cup in Cross Country.
March is special for enduro athletes, fans, supporters, because after the long winter the new enduro season begins, new starts, struggle along the track, results and achievements. Also this year we will open the enduro season in Liepāja, in motorcycling complex “Motoparks Lauma” with the first stage of Baltic Cup.
The opening stage of the 2020 season will be unique, because this will be the first motorsport competition in the Baltic States. In this competition also announced and will take part the motocross athletes, who will use this stage as the big warm-up before the 2020 motocross season. In this year, the organizers already have started to prepare the track and they promise that it will be at the highest level on the day of competition.
The head of the Enduro commission of Latvian Motorsports Federation Kaspars Ērkulis is glad about upcoming competition in Liepāja and say thanks very much to Liepāja’s City for its support and agreement to organize such competitions. “This will clearly be the most grandiose motorsport competition in Liepāja in the 2020 season, which bringing together the strongest Baltic moto athletes. This year the track will be a little changed, there will be a different route configuration and some new enduro element,” says Kaspars Ērkulis. Talking about the prize fund, Kaspars Ērkulis revealed that “the winner of the race will get awards around 1000 euro, as well as gift cards from Stockker and other valuable gifts.” This year organizers have thought more about viewers, especially children. “During the competition, younger viewers will have the opportunity not only to watch Cross Country, but also to bounce and enjoy inflatable entertainments, which will also be available for free. Of course. if the weather conditions will be nice. This will make this event more family, and the time spent together will be even more qualitative.
